The Hurricanes bring a mix of exciting new talent and experienced campaigners this Super Rugby Pacific season. 

Hurricanes centurion and experienced loose-forward Brad Shields returns as captain after five years. Alongside him will be All Black vice-captains Asafo Aumua and Jordie Barrett. 

The 38-man squad also features halfbacks Cameron Roigard and returning TJ Perenara. 

Youngsters Siale Lauaki, Josh Taula, and Harry Godfrey enter their first season on full contracts. Exciting outside backs Josh Moorby, Ruben Love, Salesi Rayasi, and Kini Naholo will add their flair.

After three seasons as an assistant coach from 2013 to 2015, Clark Laidlaw is back as head coach. He’s fresh off success as head coach for the All Blacks sevens side on the SVNS circuit. 

With Super Rugby Pacific entering its second season in the 12-team format, the Hurricanes have five home games in Wellington. They will face the Blues, Chiefs, Waratahs, Moana Pasifika and the Highlanders. The grand final is scheduled for 22 June.
