Marketing

Imagine being paid to promote the foxiest little capital city the world has ever seen. That’s what these guys do. There are plenty of ways we can help promote your business or event within what we do - have a read on how you can work with us.

Sarah Meikle, General Manager Marketing

SarahMeikle.jpg

This powerhouse of positivity spent just under 10 years with Tourism New Zealand before joining PWT in late 2007 to take charge of our marketing . Allegations her amazing baking skills are the real reason she got the job are still being investigated. Email Sarah, follow her on Twitter, or phone +64 4 915 7290.

Olivia Dean, Marketing Projects Coordinator

Olivia is Sarah's right-hand woman. And probably left hand too, come to think of it. Olivia helps make things  like Visa Wellington On a Plate, new campaign projects and great presentations happen. According to Google she is also a jewellery designer and drummer in a band. Which, she's not. We think. Email Olivia or phone +64 4 915 7298.

Sarah oversees the following teams:

  • New Zealand
  • International
  • Digital
  • Conventions

:: New Zealand Marketing & Communications Team

The team behind the popular domestic advertising also work on tactical campaigns with partner tourism businesses and major events promotion.

Angela Moriarty, NZ Marketing & Communications Manager

Every office needs someone who owns Eats, Shoots & Leaves. Angela has two copies. When she's not bemoaning the demise of appropriate apostrophe use, Angela keeps herself busy by overseeing our New Zealand brand, event and tactical campaigns, as well as destination and corporate comms. Email Angela, follow her on Twitter or ph +64 4 916 1211.

Wendy Brehaut, New Zealand Marketing Coordinator

WendyBrehaut.jpg

If you see an advert or read an e-newsletter about Wellington, chances are you're seeing the work of Wendy. As well as looking after our domestic e-newsletter and joint campaign work with Te Papa, Wendy oversees the Wellington brand. Email Wendy or ph +64 4 916 1207.

Tiana Rakete, New Zealand Events Marketing Coordinator

Tiana susses the ticketing and city excitement marketing for the Hertz Sevens, Brancott Estate World of WearableArt Awards Show and Wellington's culinary festival, Visa Wellington On a Plate. Email Tiana or give her a call on +64 4 916 1217. If you have an event listing for our website, you can submit it online.

Jessica Williams, Communications Executive

Jessica is our copywriting and storytelling genius, making Wellington, tourism and PWT look good through her way with words. She does things like news releases, hosting New Zealand media for stories about the capital of cool, and is Publicity Manager for Visa Wellington On a Plate. Email Jessica or give her a buzz on +64 4 916 0520.

:: International Marketing Team

The International Marketing Team promotes Wellington offshore through marketing collateral, targeted trade training and media hosting. They also manage and run a regional consumer campaign in Australia.

Jo Heaton, International Marketing Manager

Travelling the world talking up Wellington sure does sound glamorous and Jo is certainly one stylish lady. But convincing the travel trade that 'One Night is Not Enough' in Wellington takes guts, spunk and passion. Luckily Jo has all those in spades. Email her or phone +64 4 916 1208.

Jessica Stephens, Australia Marketing Manager

Jessica is at the helm of our consumer campaign in Australia and is the person to talk to about the ever increasing arrivals of our trans-Tasman friends. Jessica has over 20 years' experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality fields; not that she looks it. Email Jessica or phone her on +64 4 916 1200.

Bryn Lloyd, International Marketing Executive

Bryn has worked in a wide range of roles in tourism, including with Tourism New Zealand. He brings a mighty dose of frontline experience to the team, having worked at the Wellington i-SITE Visitor Centre and as a tour guide for Flat Earth. This comes in handy when he's hosting international media and trade. Email Bryn or give him a buzz on +64 4 916 1203.

Jess Wilson, International Marketing Coordinator

If you read an international story or see a show on the tele raving about Wellington and their lovely host, chances are they hung out with Jess. Her job is to host visiting journalists and trade from around the world and show them just how fabulous our city is. Email Jess or give her a call on +64 4 916 1215.

:: Digital Marketing Team

As well as oversee this nice little website, the Digital Marketing Team manages the KNOW Wellington brand, Word on the Street blog site, text campaigns and mobile application development. The also look after Wellington's presence on Twitter, Facebook, and youtube.

Helen Player, Digital Marketing Manager

Helen is in charge of keeping PWT at the cutting edge of all things digital. Her team lead the design and user experience of this fabulous (if we do say so ourselves) website, manage Wellington's social media presence and bust out a bit of mobile marketing. Email Helen or give her a buzz on +64 4 915 7297.

Annabel Henderson Morrell, Digital Experience Executive

Basically Annabel makes sure our websites work, look pretty and are easy to use. What we love most about Annabel is she doesn't speak in techno lingo, like techno music or expect us to understand HTML code. Email Annabel or give her a call on +64 4 915 7291.

Hannah Nielsen, Digital Marketing Coordinator

When we call Hannah a know-it-all, we're not being mean. That's because she's behind the popular KNOW Wellington, which keeps locals in touch with what's happening in downtown Wellington, as well as Wellington's social media presence and getting the Word on the Street. Email Hannah or call her on +64 4 916 1218.

:: Wellington Convention Bureau

The bureau offers free and impartial advice on venues, activities and contacts for conference organisers to ensure they can make the most of their event in Wellington, as well as proactively seeking business for the city.

Andrea Stephen, Convention Bureau Sales Manager

Andrea's role is to deliver more bums on seats and bodies in beds by securing new conference business for the capital. She's the lady for the job because she knows the job, having enjoyed a past life as a professional conference organiser. Email Andrea or phone her on +64 4 916 1204.

Lizzy Campbell, Convention Bureau Marketing & Sales Coordinator

Lizzy is responsible for hosting conference organisers and marketing our Wellington Convention Bureau. Email Lizzy or phone her on +64 4 916 1209.

Andrea Werner, Business Development Manager

Andrea's our contractor on the ground in Sydney charged with making it easy as saying fush and chips for Australians to choose Wellington for their next conference or incentive. It helps that she really knows what she's talking about - originally from New Zealand, Andrea also has extensive experience in the C&I market. Email Andrea.
