Visit Mike and Lynette at Vista del Sol – or "View of the Sun" their newly developed luxurious B&B and spa in Kapiti, the sunshine and nature coast, that is situated one hour north of Wellington and one hour south of Palmerston North.

Vista del Sol is a 15 acre property set on thirty thousand year old sand dunes enjoying 360 degree views of an unspoiled panorama 1 km back from the beach. The property faces west to the Coast over wetland bush valleys and ancient sand dunes and magnificent sunsets, southwest to Kapiti Island, north over rolling farmland and northeast to the Tararua Mountain Ranges.

Luxuriously appointed bedrooms, ensuites and house - All three suites are spacious, extremely comfortable and decorated to a luxurious standard, with superb king size beds, an armchair together with table and chairs, and each accompanied by a large fully tiled modern ensuites in natural earth colors, with tiled showers, heated floors, mirrors and towel rails. For your comfort you have spa robes, large fluffy towels, facecloths, together with bathroom soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

You may use the stairs or lift access to the upper floor and mobility ramps into Vista del Sol. For the disabled the Derham suite has a full care ensuite with handrails and wheelchair access to basin, shower and toilet.

Relax and enjoy home comforts and privacy with only three king suites and plenty of space including three lounges, library, bar, Indoor Island Spa and gardens. Kapiti Suite

The Kapiti Suite captures the afternoon sun and picturesque views to the south and west toward Kapiti Island over bush wetlands and hills to the Coast. It is furnished with one of the most luxurious king beds available in New Zealand, a comfortable arm chair, touch lamps, natural wood table, chairs and side units, a triple wardrobe with full length mirrors and is finished with art work & flowers.

Derham Suite

This is a spacious ground floor suite that collects afternoon sun and lovely views to the south toward Kapiti Island and west over bush wetlands and hills to the Coast. It has a Futon king size bed, touch lamps, table and chairs, a separate wardrobe and is finished with art work and flowers. It has good wheelchair access with ramps into the ground floor, widened doorways, plus a full care ensuite with handrails and wheelchair access to basin, shower and the toilet. Is fully tiled with natural earth and stone tonings with underfloor heating, heated mirror and towel rails, hairdryer and an open shower with controls for the care giver.

Taraua Suite

The Tararua Suite enjoys morning sun and views to the north over rolling farmland and east to the Tararua Range. It is the largest suite at Vista del Sol and is very spacious. It is furnished with one of the most luxurious king beds available in New Zealand, a comfortable arm chair, touch lamps, natural wood table, chairs and bed side units, a triple wardrobe with full length mirrors and is finished with art work and flowers. The large ensuite is fully tiled with natural earth and stone toning and is fitted with both a glassed shower and separate bath, complete with underfloor heating, heated mirror, heated towel rails, chair, hairdryer & toiletries.
