is an emerging star in Marlborough combining the considerable wine-growing experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland and James and Wendy Healey. www.dogpoint.co.nz

Gladstone Vineyard

has Christine Kernohan as chief winemaker at this vineyard in Wairarapa. 12,000 Miles is a premium range of wines grown sustainably and reflecting new world wine styles, with good fruit and terroir. www.gladstonevineyard.co.nz

Escarpment Vineyard

boasts Larry McKenna as director and winemaker at this Wairarapa vineyard Despite his relaxed and unassuming style, he's been referred to by various wine writers and authorities as "The Prince of Pinot Noir", the "Godfather of Pinot Noir" and a Pinot Noir "Legend".  www.escarpment.co.nz

Hunter Wines

Jane Hunter from Hunters Wines in Marlborough was described by the London Sunday Times as the First Lady of New Zealand Wine. www.hunters.co.nz

Palliser Estate

This Martinbrough winery is the first in the world to achieve ISO 145001 environmental accreditation. They produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Methode Traditionelle. www.palliser.co.nz

Spy Valley

Brian and Jan Johnson established the first of their 300 acres of estate vineyards in Marlborough in 1993. Awards and accolades have been accumulated from day one, for wines across the range. www.spyvalleywine.co.nz

Ant Moore Wines

After almost 10 years making high quality and high profile Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough, Ant Moore’s Sauvignon Blanc is his first true estate wine. www.antmoore.com

Wither Hills

produce award winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The winery is named after the imposing Wither Hills ranges in Marlborough, which form a dramatic backdrop to the vineyards. www.witherhills.co.nz

Forrest Wines

Family owned and operated, Forrest Wines have defined 'Quintessential Marlborough' since 1988. Doctors John and Brigid Forrest are Forrest Wines and their Doctor’s range is named after them. www.forrest.co.nz

Lawson's Dry Hills

was founded by Ross and Barbara Lawson in 1992. Their first vintage included a Gewürztraminer which was recognised as one of the county's finest and has firmly established them on the national and international wine stage. www.lawsonsdryhills.co.nz
