The award winning Wellington Cable Car Museum brings to life the story of Wellingtonians and their iconic cable cars. Situated within the original Winding House, the Museum is home to a nationally significant collection including two of the original grip cars and the historic winding machinery once used to haul the cars up the incline.
Climb aboard one of Wellington's 'relentless red rattlers' and step back in time to discover more about this unique system that has transported people between the harbour and the hills for more than 100 years.
