WOW® Window Dressing Competition consumer competition: terms and conditions

Here's everything you need to know before entering the WOW® Window Dressing Competition consumer competition.

  • By entering the WOW® Window Dressing Competition consumer competition, you accept the WOW® Window Dressing Competition consumer competition: Terms and Conditions set out below (Terms).
  • The Promoter of this competition is Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA) (Level 28, Plimmer Tower, 2-6 Gilmer Terrace, PO Box 10 017, Wellington, New Zealand).
  • Voting will open at 12:00am (NZST), Thursday 22 September 2016 and will close at 11:59pm (NZST), Sunday 9 October 2016 (The Competition Period).
  • Employees of WREDA, WOW® and participating retailers, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the competition. If requested by WREDA, you must provide proof of your age.
  • Only one entry per email address per day will be permitted.
  • To enter the competition, you must complete all mandatory fields of the online entry form.
  • One winner will be randomly chosen from all eligible entries.
  • All decisions of WREDA in relation to the competition shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winner of the competition will be selected from the eligible entries on Monday 10 October 2016 at the offices of WREDA, Level 28, Plimmer Tower, 2-6 Gilmer Terrace, Wellington, New Zealand, and will be notified by email by Wednesday 12 October 2016. If the winner does not reply to their winner’s notification email by 12:00pm (NZST), Wednesday 19 October 2016, a second prize draw will be undertaken. In the event of a second prize draw, if the new winner drawn does not respond to their winner’s notification email within a reasonable time (determined by WREDA), a third prize draw will be undertaken, and so on until the winner is finalised.
  • One prize will be offered to the winner of the competition draw:
    • A $500 shopping voucher at the store that is crowned the People’s Choice (the participating store that has been awarded the most overall consumer votes during The Competition Period).
  • Except as set out in the prize package above, all other expenses, such as transfers to and from the retail store, and any other ancillary costs of taking up the prize will be at the winners’ own expense.
  • The prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • By accepting the prize, the prize winner consents to WREDA using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes and consents to participate in any publicity arrangements (including interviews) reasonably required by WREDA.
  • WREDA and their associated agents act only as agents or resellers for other parties (suppliers) who provide the component parts of this prize package. Individual suppliers’ standard policies and terms and conditions apply to the prize package components. All tickets, coupons and exchange orders issued in respect of any prize package component provided are subject to the individual supplier’s terms and conditions.
  • WREDA accepts no responsibility for an individual supplier’s failure to supply the prize for any reason, or in the form expected, and are not obliged to provide an alternative prize or take legal action to require the supplier to carry out their obligations.
  • Prize components are subject to change by WREDA and the individual suppliers without notice.
  • All prize components are non-refundable for cash either in part or in whole and are not transferable to any persons, unless agreed in writing by WREDA.
  • WREDA reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify an entrant who it considers to be ineligible or who tampers with the competition entry or draw process, or who fails to comply with these Terms.
  • WREDA shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered or inflicted by you (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) in connection with this competition. Due diligence is carried out to ensure the providers used in our competitions have health and safety measures in place at the time of promotion. We recommend contacting the product provider(s) to confirm any details and to ensure their latest initiatives comply with all Health & Safety and regulatory requirements ahead of taking up your prize.
  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of New Zealand. You agree that the Courts of New Zealand shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute which may arise in connection with these Terms, unless otherwise agreed by WREDA.
  • If when you entered the prize draw you chose to receive WREDA’s eNewsletters you may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each newsletter.
  • WREDA may collect personal information provided with your entry, which will be used to notify prize winners, verify entries, and generally administer this competition. WREDA respects privacy rights under the Privacy Act 1993 and will comply with the privacy principles in relation to the collection of any personal information from individuals entering this competition. Please contact WREDA should you wish to access or request correction of your personal information.
