Will You Welly Me competition - terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions apply:

  1. By entering the “Will You Welly Me?” competition you accept the competition Terms and Conditions set out below (Terms).
  2. The Promoter of this competition is Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA) (Level 28, Plimmer Tower, 2-6 Gilmer Terrace, PO Box 10 017, Wellington, New Zealand).
  3. The “Will You Welly Me?” competition runs from 27 June 2016 until 31 August 2016.
  4. The competition is open to New Zealand residents only.
  5. Employees of WREDA, Resn, DNA, Storybox and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
  6. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the competition. If requested by WREDA, you must provide proof of your age and/or place of residence.
  7. How to enter: To be eligible to enter, entrants must create a video poem via the “Will You Welly Me?” poem generator and complete the entry form.
  8. There will be five (5) weekly draws through to 31 July and one final draw on 31 August. There will be one (1) draw conducted for the entries received each week of the Promotional Period, for a total of five (5) draws, with the first draw taking place on Monday 4 July, and each Monday for the following four weeks. One winner will be drawn at random each week over this period (27 June – 31 July). Entries are only valid for the week in which they are submitted and do not carry forward to subsequent draws. A further draw will take place on 1 September for entries received 1 August – 31 August.
  9. You may enter the draw multiple times, however you must create a new poem each time in order to enter.
  10. Prizes: There are a total of six weekend prize packages to be won. The Prize for each period of the competition is set out below:

Week 1 (27 June – 3 July)

  • Two return flights to Wellington with Air New Zealand
  • Two nights’ accommodation at CQ Quality Hotel
  • $150 dining voucher for The Bresolin
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • A Weta Workshop There And Back Again Tour for two people
  • Week 1 entries will open on 27 June 2016 and close at 23:59 on 3 July 2016

Week 2 (4 - 10 July)

  • Two return flights to Wellington with Air New Zealand
  • Two nights’ accommodation at Museum Art Hotel
  • $150 dining voucher for Whitebait
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • A $75 voucher for The Embassy Theatre and Black Sparrow Lounge & Drinkery
  • Week 2 entries will open on 4 July 2016 and will close at 23:59 on 10 July 2016.

Week 3 (11 - 17 July)

  • Two return flights to Wellington with Air New Zealand
  • Two nights’ accommodation at West Plaza Hotel
  • $150 dining voucher for Ortega Fish Shack & Bar
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • A Red Panda Close Encounter for two people at Wellington Zoo
  • Week 3 entries open on 11 July 2016 and close at 23:59 on 17 July.

Week 4 (18 - 24 July)

  • Two return flights to Wellington with Air New Zealand
  • Two nights’ accommodation at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor.
  • $150 dining voucher for Charley Noble
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • A $150 voucher for Tea Pea Home and a $100 voucher for Caughley.
  • Week 4 entries open on 18 July 2016 and will close at 23:59 on 24 July 2016. Prize must be taken prior to 18 September.

Week 5 (25 - 31 July)

  • Two return flights to Wellington from the nearest major airport with Air New Zealand
  • Two nights’ accommodation at Rydges Wellington
  • $150 dining voucher for Ombra
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • A Zest Food Tour for two people
  • Week 5 entries open on 25 July 2016 and will close at 23:59 on 31 July 2016

Bonus draw 6 (1 August – 31 August)

  • Two nights’ accommodation at Copthorne Hotel Oriental Bay
  • A Lemur Close Encounter for two people at Wellington Zoo
  • Two return passes on the Wellington Cable Car
  • Entry for two to Zealandia
  • Entries for the final draw will open on 1 August 2016 and will close at 23:59 on 31 August 2016. Prize must be taken prior to 22 September 2016.
  1. All prizes will be drawn on the Monday following the entry period, and winners will be notified by phone or email that week. If a winner does not reply to the winner’s notification email within seven days, a second prize draw will be undertaken.
  2. All decisions of WREDA in relation to the competition shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. Except as set out in the prize packages above, all other expenses, such as transfers to New Zealand departure airports or to and from Wellington attractions, spending money, travel insurance, meals and any other ancillary costs of taking up the prize package will be at the winners’ own expense.
  4. The prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  5. All relevant prize package components will be presented to the winner as vouchers. The prize components must be arranged and booked by the prize winner.
  6. All prizes must be booked and taken by 30 September 2016 with the exception of Week 4 which must be taken by 18 September 2016, and Draw 6 which must be taken by 22 September 2016
  7. By accepting a prize, the prize winner consents to WREDA using his/her details and photographs for promotional and media publicity purposes as reasonably required by WREDA.
  8. All flights, accommodation and attraction/activities are subject to availability at time of booking. Blackout times may apply for certain flights, accommodation and activities at the sole discretion of each prize component’s supplier.
  9. The flights are on Air New Zealand services only. The flights are limited to flights within New Zealand only. The return flight to Wellington will be booked between your nearest major airport and Wellington. You will need to get to and from that airport yourself at your own cost. Any airport and government costs are at the traveler’s expense. Seats are limited and are strictly subject to availability.
  10. WREDA and their associated agents act only as agents or resellers for other parties (suppliers) who provide the component parts of each prize package. Individual suppliers’ standard policies and terms and conditions apply to the prize package components. All tickets, coupons and exchange orders issued in respect of any prize package component provided are subject to the individual supplier’s terms and conditions.
  11. WREDA accepts no responsibility for an individual supplier’s failure to supply the prize for any reason, or in the form expected, and are not obliged to provide an alternative prize or take legal action to require the supplier to carry out their obligations.
  12. Prize components are subject to change by WREDA and the individual suppliers without notice.
  13. The Promoter has the right to alter the terms and conditions if needed. And we’ll disqualify users that have acted dishonestly or where there is a technical malfunction beyond our control.
  14. All prize components are non-refundable for cash either in part or in whole and are not transferable to any persons, unless agreed in writing by WREDA. 
  15. Any additional person, upgrade, extension or variance from the prize package (where permitted by the relevant supplier) will be at the prize winner’s own expense.
  16. WREDA reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify an entrant who it considers to be ineligible or who tampers with the competition entry or draw process, or who fails to comply with these Terms.
  17. WREDA shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered or inflicted by you (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) in connection with this competition. Due diligence is carried out to ensure the providers used in our competitions have health and safety measures in place at the time of promotion. We recommend contacting the product provider(s) to confirm any details and to ensure their latest initiatives comply with all Health & Safety and regulatory requirements ahead of taking up your prize.
  18. These Terms shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of New Zealand. You agree that the Courts of New Zealand shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute which may arise in connection with these Terms, unless otherwise agreed by WREDA.
  19. If when you entered the prize draw you chose to receive WREDA’s enewsletters you may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each newsletter.
  20. WREDA may collect personal information provided with your entry, which will be used to notify prize winners, verify entries, and generally administer this competition.  WREDA respects privacy rights under the Privacy Act 1993 and will comply with the privacy principles in relation to the collection of any personal information from individuals entering this competition. Please contact WREDA should you wish to access or request correction of your personal information.
