What an exciting pairing! Scottish percussionist Colin Currie joins the NZSO on their Soundscape tour. In these concerts he will perform fellow Scotsman, and well known composer, James MacMillan’s Veni, Veni, Emmanuel, already a contemporary classic.

This concerto is a stunning demonstration of Colin Currie’s skill and athleticism: he plays dozens of drums, gongs, marimba and bells. Conductor Alexander Shelley is back conducting the Orchestra after his 2008 visit.
