:: All Eyes on Te Papa's Squid
Te Papa has been the centre of media attention this week, with the defrosting of its colossal squid. It has been revealed that the squid is female, and has the biggest eyes found on any creature! The thawing and examination was been broadcast live via Te Papa's website: www.tepapa.govt.nz
:: Farewell to John Primmer
The Wellington tourism industry bids farewell to John Primmer, General Manager of the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor. John has been a central figure in the local tourism industry for the past 7 years, and will be sadly missed. He is heading off to Malaysia, to open a new Hard Rock Hotel in Penang in 2009. Bon voyage and thanks for all the support!
