Bolton Hotel’s restaurant does a mean breakfast at the best of times, so their Easter breakfast buffet extravaganza on Saturday 23rd & Sun 24th April promises to be something special. Think chocolate croissants, hot cross buns, milky hot chocolates and all the usual buffet favourites including Bircher muesli, seasonal fruit, yoqhurt selection, deli platters and an array of hot food items. $30, half price for kids under 12. Reservations essential.

A freshly renovated hotel is a treat in itself – add in a deluxe room, antipasto platter and heavenly ice cream for two, a petit box of handmade chocolates, a bottle of methode traditionelle and a luxurious late check out of 12 noon, and you’ve got something ultra tasty. 4. Accor 25% Off Sale
Who needs to wait until Christmas for a good sale!? You can currently enjoy 25% accommodation in a King, Queen or Twin room with a selection of Wellington’s Accor properties. Such a good deal has a couple of rules – stuff like pre-paid bookings, dates can’t be messed with and it’s non-refundable. Subject to availability so get in quick.

5. Museum Hotel’s Chocoholic High Tea
Enjoy the Easter holidays by indulging with a decadent high tea at Museum Hotel’s lavish restaurant. Only flavoursome organic and completely sustainable foods are featured on a special menu being offered by InterContinental Wellington’s Chameleon Restaurant during April. Executive chef Edmond Weicherding’s has designed a menu where every ingredient on the plate is sustainable, from the oil in which the meat is cooked to the overall seasoning. Reservations recommended.

9. Craft 2.0 and the return of the Jam Off
Celebrating its fifth birthday, Craft 2.0 returns to The Dowse for a special fair on Easter Saturday.
