An unmissable events double header hits Wellington next month, lining up the perfect couples weekend in the capital.
On Saturday 14 November the All Whites will take on Bahrain at Westpac Stadium as they bid to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since shoulder pads were in fashion. Hopefully the result will send you out celebrating, but save some gas in the tank because Toast Martinborough is on the next day.
Legendary winemaker Larry McKenna, of Escarpment Vineyard, and leading organic vineyard Vynfields are new additions to this year’s programme, joining nine other award-winning wineries to offer festival goers a stunning array of premium wines, fine food and live performances.
Toast Martinborough tickets are $60 plus booking fee and go on sale next Wednesday 7 October through Ticketek.
Tickets for the All Whites ‘One Shot for Glory’ match range from $29-39 for adults and are also available through Ticketek. Family and children rates are also available.
Visitors looking for accommodation located close to both the stadium and Wellington Railway Station, should look to the likes of Holiday Inn Wellington, Downtown Backpackers, Kingsgate Hotel Wellington and Bolton Hotel.
