Zest Food Tours Turn Up the Heat

Zest Food Tours in action.

It’s the season for sumptuous food, kicking back, and relaxing. But not for Zest Food Tours, who are in the midst of a busy summer season. Let’s take a look at what’s cooking in their kitchen.

Zest Food Tours takes small groups of people behind-the-scenes of Wellington’s gourmet experiences. They run a number of different tours, including a Walking Gourmet Tour, and a highly tempting Chocolate Espresso Tour.

The company is run by the dynamic duo of Susan McLeary and Catherine Cordwell. This summer, there’s certainly plenty to keep them busy.

Summer weddings in New Zealand bring lots of friends and family visitors Downunder. Zest Food Tours are hosting a Scottish couple whose daughter is marrying a New Zealander. The couple plan to travel around New Zealand after the wedding, sampling fine food and wine, and found Zest on WellingtonNZ.com.

Susan McLeary says Zest Food Tours is also busy introducing the rising numbers of cruise ship passengers to the taste treats of Wellington.

“It’s fantastic to receive referrals from last season’s guests. In January we are hosting a group of six who came to us directly asking for a tailored tour on the recommendation of a friend who enjoyed our Walking Gourmet tour earlier in 2007. So that also means positive personal referrals for the New Zealand cruise experience, including Wellington.”

Zest Food Tours gets lots of great feedback on Wellington, from the guests they host. “Our walking tours mean they see the architecture and people going about their daily business, and feel more part of the “real Wellington”.
