Ferndale Equestrian Centre is located on the Kapiti Coast 8 km north of Paraparaumu and 2.5km from State Highway One. The farm has 40 acres of rolling sandhills and some New Zealand native forest.
There they have excellent facilities for teaching horse riding and horse management. Ferndale has a well-sited and sunny stable complex and an indoor riding arena - which is large enough to be able to teach at least up to 6 horses and riders at any one time and to be able to build a testing jumping course. Riding our farm trails gives you a great view of Kapiti and more experienced riders can enjoy trails to Waikanae Park and to the beach. Our indoor riding arena and stable complex means you can enjoy your horse experience at Ferndale, whatever the weather.
We offer riding and horsemastership education programmes, activities for study groups and professional riding tuition. Our treks around the farm are popular and longer treks are available on request for more experienced riders. Ferndale education equestrian programmes range from 4 days to 10 week courses and cater for beginners to advanced riders.
Homestay accommodation can be arranged closeby. For international students these programmes can be combined with English language education and other outdoor activity programmes.
