This lovely park was used for a number of scenes set at Isengard for The Lord of the Rings.
Part of the park was transformed into the gardens where Gandalf and Saruman first meet after the rediscovery of the ring at Hobbiton in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
In the lower area, keen eyes will spot a slight difference in grass colour tracking through the middle of the lawn – a gravel pathway encased by a chain-link fence was built here as the entrance road into Isengard.
The grass was replanted following filming.
