Any self-respecting theatre has a ghost or two, and Wellington’s iconic 100-year-old theatre doesn’t disappoint.
‘Yuri’, a Russian dancer who became a fly-man when he injured himself, is the most regularly sighted.
A boys' choir and a wailing woman have also made occasional appearances, with film-maker Peter Jackson reporting seeing the wailing woman at the foot of his bed about 20 years ago in his apartment across from the St James Theatre.
