It's school holiday time again and there are lots of exciting holiday programmes and activities to keep your kids entertained in Wellington.
It's almost that time of year again! The zoo's summer holiday programme is tailored for kids aged 5-10 years and every day, they will get to meet animals, interact with Zoo staff and go behind the scenes at the Zoo – all the while contributing to conservation! Each day has a different focus - your kids will have fun exploring the Zoo and getting stuck into all sorts of exciting activities.
Activities include: Animal Antics, Summer Safari, Animal Academy, Zoo Apprentice, Animal S.O.S, Wildlife Explorer, Zoo Apprentice, The Zoomazing Race, Feeding Time at the Zoo.

Game Masters: The Exhibition

Featuring over 100 playable games, Te Papa’s latest blockbuster exhibition celebrates the work of the world’s most influential videogame designers. Including Peter Molyneux, Hideo Kojima, and many more. Game Masters offers the rare opportunity to play Yu Suzuki's full-body 1980s arcade games, through to testing yourself in a four-player version of Firemint's Real Racing 2.

Summer Children's Holiday Programme
Come and join our French school holiday programme.The programme is tailored for kids 5 – 10 years of age and each day has a different focus including cooking workshops, arts and crafts. The entire programme will be led by experienced, native French-speaking teachers to ensure the highest quality of teaching. The school holiday programmes fill up fast, so register today to reserve your child’s spot!

The School Holiday programmes provide an opportunity for kids and teens to learn about and make artworks in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. Morning and afternoon classes are available for 5-10 and 11+. The three hour sessions explore a range of artists and media and processes with all students completing beautiful pieces of art to bring home.
Adrenalin Forest is a series of rope bridges, Tarzan swings and flying foxes from platforms constructed in the tree canopy. The platforms range from 3 to 30 metres in the air, and so participants literally feel like they are flying through the trees.
There are different courses on site, with increasing levels of challenge and height. Adrenalin Forest is suitable for a range of ages and fitness levels.

The Council offers school holiday programmes at the ASB Sports Centre and Karori Rec Centre. There are activities on each day. There is a mixture of activities within the centre and some trip days where the kids are taken on outside trips. 8.30am – 3.30pm with after-care also available.

For 7 year olds and up their School Holiday Classes are generally the origin of the projects that get carried into our Krafty Kids Parties. While we have a few classes that return time after time through their popularity (Art Attack, Scrapbooking, Secret of Softies etc) ... the remainder of the schedule will be filled with new, innovative and fun classes for both boys and girls!
