Explore our favourite food places on this popular tour as we wander through the capital’s best specialist food stores, including tasting coffee, chocolate, cheeses and regional produce, maybe even roasting your own coffee beans. Talk to owners, baristas, coffee roasters and chefs as you go where only Zest can. Take a seat in a top Wellington restaurant and indulge in a light three course tasting lunch with matching New Zealand wines.

Sunday Gourmet

Along our spectacular, sculpture-rich waterfront, explore two Sunday fresh produce and specialty food markets, tasting and meeting producers over locally roasted coffee. In Te Papa’s Bush City we find unique, indigenous edible plants, then taste them in modern usage.

Enjoy all the fun tasting and behind the scenes experiences included in our Walking Gourmet tour, together with a light tasting lunch with New Zealand wines at a top Wellington restaurant. Martinborough Food and Wine Producers Tour

We also offer a personally guided food and wine tour of Greytown and Martinborough, just an hour’s drive from Wellington in the celebrated Wairarapa wine region.

Explore the historic township of Greytown and the celebrated Martinborough wine region, particularly revered for its award winning pinot noir production. Hosted by a local expert Zest guide, this is a highly personalised experience. We meet people and see behind the scenes of premium wine brands and artisan food producers, tasting our way through the region. Savour a delicious light three course tasting lunch, with dishes expertly matched with premium Martinborough wines.

Daily by arrangement, including pick up and return from an agreed central Wairarapa location or train station. Ask us about Wellington train connections.

We are able to cater for people with mobility issues on our tours. We can provide transport to our tour partners where required, although this may involve an additional charge.
