The Opera House holds pride of place in Wellington. This stately Edwardian theatre with it's stunning architecture and natural light, makes it the perfect setting for meetings, functions and team building.

The Opera House provides stylish surroundings for pre and post-show entertaining, and is an elegant venue for weddings.

A backstage tour around either of these two beautifully restored Edwardian theatres will help classes get more out of their next school production. They will be given the opportunity to see behind-the-scenes in a professional theatre, hear about the theatre’s history and its ghosts and sneak a peek at the five star dressing rooms (performance schedules permitting).

To take full advantage of a visit, groups can combine the theatre tour with a trip to the Royal New Zealand Ballet studios, which are located on the third floor of the St James Theatre.

A charge of $25+GST per hour is requested to cover costs.
