Parliament Buildings

A visit to the Capital City would not be complete without a visit to NZ's beautifully refurbished Parliament Buildings. Located in the historic suburb of Thorndon, the complex is made up of three architecturally distinctive buildings: the Edwardian neo-classical Parliament House, the Victorian Gothic Parliamentary Library and the unique 1970’s style Beehive building. Free entry.

Tours leave on the hour from:
Monday to Friday 10am - 4 pm
Saturday and public holidays 10am - 3pm
Sunday 11am - 3pm
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, 2nd January, Waitangi Day (February 6th), Good Friday.

Private tours (10 or more) can be pre-booked by arrangement. Free guided tours leave on the hour.

Accessibility Information
There are wheelchairs are available, and most areas of the tour are wheel chair accessible however not all areas are. Tours can be adapted to accommodate the access requirements of the group.
