It's around 8 minutes in a taxi or shuttle to reach the city centre, downtown shopping area, Banks and Post Offices. The walk from Aotea Quay to the downtown area is uncovered and alongside a busy road so it’s well worth taking a taxi or coach, usually available as you disembark, to cover this short distance.
