About the role
Working in WellingtonNZ’s Digital Team, you’ll be supporting the wider Marketing and Communications Team to make the Wellington region wildly famous and promote it as a destination of choice for visitors, students, investors, entrepreneurs and skilled workers, by telling stories that create value for Wellington-based organisations.
As Digital Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of WellingtonNZ’s suite of websites. You will ensure the smooth operation of the websites by providing project and campaign support and help to share the value WellingtonNZ delivers across the region using digital best practice techniques.
You will be involved in:
- Planning, developing and maintaining WellingtonNZ’s websites.
- Training and support of the wider team in using WellingtonNZ’s CMS.
- Contributing to and helping to delivering WellingtonNZ’s digital and content strategies
- The technical maintenance of WellingtonNZ.com and other websites.
- Undertaking website testing across multiple devices and browsers.
- Support teams in creating campaigns, content and other dynamic site-specific features.
As the key day-to-day contact for our website development agency, you’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to support a wide range of website users both internal and external to WellingtonNZ. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical ability in the digital space through proven, extensive experience managing CMS, bug tracking, and highly advanced computer skills.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a background in the digital space, ideally in website development and maintenance.
- Has experience in project and campaign support.
- Is a team player with the ability to collaborate to make things happen.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with the ability to support and teach others in the digital space.
- Has a passion for the Wellington region, it’s people, events and businesses.
