Tracey Bridges

Chair

Tracey works in strategy, leadership and behaviour change, with an international reputation for leadership in social marketing. In 2017, Tracey sold her shareholding in SenateSHJ, the trans-Tasman communication consultancy that she co-founded, to focus on a portfolio career combining business directorships and consultancy in the social sector.

She is a Trustee of the Wellington Regional Stadium Trust, and a co-founder and director of The Good Registry. She is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand, the Chair of the New Zealand Social Marketing Network, and a member of the Board of the Australian Association of Social Marketing.

Wayne Mulligan

A professional director and trustee on a number of Māori and non-government organisations, Wayne has been involved in start-up business as well as global licensing and technology transfer agreements.

Married with two children, Wayne is actively involved in Iwi matters in Wellington and Taranaki, and is a director of WellingtonNZ subsidiary Creative HQ, Edmund Hillary Fellowship Limited, Genomics Aotearoa, Anagenix Group, Tui Ora Limited, NZ Bio Forestry Limited and NUKU ki te Puku Limited. He is also a trustee on NZ Festival Trust and Tāwhiri Trust.

 

Kylie Archer-Byrne

Kylie is the Chief Operating Officer for Expo 2020 in Dubai. She previously led the Government’s International Investment Attraction Taskforce, New Zealand’s Major Events Development Programme and the Flag Consideration Project. Leadership roles in the private sector include Head of Marketing for Skycity Entertainment Group, and Director of Events & Sponsorship for the NZ Tourism Association.

Kylie is a member of the Institute of Directors and also serves as a Trustee for the philanthropic Te Papa Foundation, dedicated to supporting the work of the national museum and gallery.

Matt Clarke

Matt Clarke is the Chief Commercial Officer of Wellington Airport, responsible for airline business development, property and the airport’s other commercial activities.

He has worked in Wellington since 2010 and has held executive roles spanning six airports in New Zealand and abroad.

Matt is an experienced, strategic leader in Aviation, Tourism and Property Development. He is a Director of Whare Manaakitanga, the owner of Wellington’s newest Rydges hotel and Nelson Airport.

Paul Retimanu

Paul has an extraordinarily strong background, naturally gravitating into leadership roles in his early 20s, then into his own businesses in 1998. Paul now operates his hospitality company Manaaki Management, employing up to 70 staff.

With seven tamariki who whakapapa to Ngapuhi, Tuwharetoa and Samoa, this is a driving force for Paul, to both the Māori and Pacifica worlds. Working towards better outcomes for our people, through hospitality opportunities, business, entrepreneurship, and education.

Currently sitting on multiple boards, via ministerial appointment, shoulder tapped or volunteering; he brings leadership, business knowledge and entrepreneurship expertise to the roles of Chair, Deputy Chair or Board Member. Paul uses his skills and experience to influence and make impactful decisions in these governance roles.

Jill Hatchwell

Jill is a born and bred Wellingtonian, now residing in the Wairarapa. Passionate about the Wellington region, she is enthusiastic to now be able to “give a little back”. Throughout her financial management career she has contributed to growing businesses, in sectors ranging from the investment company scene, to aviation, to consultancy in the public sector.

Jill is a professional director and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. She currently serves on the boards of the Civil Aviation Authority, Ringa Hora Services Workforce Development Council, Chatham Rock Phosphate Ltd (NZX and TSX listed) and USX-listed Aorere Resources Ltd. She is the Chair of the Audit and Risk subcommittees of all four entities.

David Wilks

Dave is the General Manager of Wētā Workshop, a design and physical manufacturing facility that has grown from a focus on film and TV to include design and build of location-based attractions, consumer products, video games, and operating a rapidly expanding tourism division.

In addition to the entertainment sector, his career has spanned FMCG marketing, agriculture sector retailing, and government roles in tourism and in conservation. 

Dave has also held a number of governance roles across tourism, not-for-profit, and conservation.  He is currently a director of the commercial licencing arm of the NZ Cancer Society, and a member of the board of trustees of Wellington College.
