Kiwis. What’ll warm your soul in Wellington this summer? That’s the question behind WREDA’s new joint summer tourism campaign with Air New Zealand which features an online quiz with four trips for two to fabulous Wellington to be won.
To enter, quiz respondents select simple options which are used to create their quiz persona*. They’ll end up being a crafty hipster, an arty-aficionado, a fearless funster or a culture seeker.
The four holiday packages on offer each include return flights to Wellington, two nights at the Grand Mercure, dinner at Egmont St Eatery, and a $500 Prezzy Card.**
The quiz, which launched 15 November will be promoted to more than 900,000 New Zealanders through Air New Zealand’s digital mailouts to customers.
The campaign builds on an existing video which promotes Wellington as an alternative Kiwi summer holiday destination for couples.
WREDA’s Marketing and Communications General Manager Anna Calver says the campaign will drive awareness of Wellington as a destination in a summer where the region’s events calendar is bursting with variety.
“Whether it’s art, cuisine, drinks, sports, live events or even architecture, Wellington’s got something to warm every soul that will leave visitors feeling inspired.
“There’s the highly anticipated Eminem concert, the Te Matatini kapa haka festival, CubaDupa, the Terracotta Warriors, art galleries, and some of New Zealand’s top eateries.
“But it doesn’t stop there. There’s also Wellington’s craft beer, the Black Caps, the Wellington Wine and Food Festival and the Gardens Magic Concert Series, to name but a few highlights.
“It all adds up to a soul-warming time in Wellington.”
Air New Zealand General Manager Market Development & Retail Sales Annabelle Fowler says the campaign quiz is a fantastic way to showcase the many great things to do in Wellington this summer.
