WellingtonNZ's Events & Experiences business unit brings together the Major Events and Venues Wellington teams who support some of Wellington's most wildly popular events, and manage and operate some of the city's most iconic venues.
Major Events
WellingtonNZ's Major Events team promotes, funds and supports major events in Wellington, such as New Zealand Festival, World of WearableArt Awards Show and Jim Beam Homegrown.
The team work across funding support, marketing and promotion, logistical and venue support, feasibility studies and event bids, planning, management and risk management, coordination and facilitation of major events.

Venues Wellington: Performance events
Wellington is known as the cultural capital of New Zealand, and the Performance Events team are responsible for sourcing, contracting, ticketing and delivering live performances and exhibitions within Wellington's civic venues.
Their focus is on developing a strong calendar of events, and working with hirers to drive local and out-of-town audience development.
