WREDA's media and PR team operate like a press office for the Wellington region. Their job is to get journalists telling Wellington travel, lifestyle and business stories through a hosted media programme and content production. They work with journalists in the Wellington region, around New Zealand, in Australia and internationally in key markets.

WREDA's Destination marketing team run marketing campaigns and advertising to sell Wellington as a destination across a variety of domestic and international markets. The team include a variety of operators and events in campaign activity at their discretion, and priority is given to our partners for marketing activity. 

Wellington Advent Calendar

Our annual Advent Calendar is managed by our Digital marketing team. Expressions of interest generally open in March to ensure we capture all interested parties. 2017 expressions of interest are yet to open.

Advertise at the i-SITE

Our i-SITE Visitor Information Centre on Wakefield Street is a first stop for international and domestic visitors to Wellington when they arrive. The i-SITE has over 350,000 visitors per year and helps with all kinds of information and booking support throughout Wellington and New Zealand.
