Wellington City Ambassadors

Each cruise season a team of passionate Wellingtonians welcome thousands of cruise passengers to the ‘coolest little cruise capital in the world’ and they are known as the Wellington City Ambassadors.

WCA 1
Ready to greet the passengers

This team of volunteers are positioned at key locations throughout the city to provide information, directions and to generally assist passengers to ensure they are making the most of their day in Wellington. The upcoming 2018/19 season will see an estimated 111 cruise ships visit the city and we need more ambassadors to join the team.

Our mission is to provide a friendly and informative welcome to all visitors to Wellington.

Do you love Wellington? Would you like to welcome the many people that flock off cruise ships into our beautiful little capital over summer? Do you have a love for the city and all that Wellington is world famous for?
