Callaghan Innovation

Callaghan Innovation was set up to help businesses build innovation capabilities that contribute to the broader economy. Based in Wellington, they have a team of approximately 400 researchers, scientists, engineers, technologists, business people, investment managers and account managers working across the country. 


PledgeMe is New Zealand’s first crowd-sourcing platform which launched in 2012. PledgeMe crowd-funded itself, raising more than $100,000 in less than 24 hours, and has helped fund over 700 successful projects.

One of those is Wellington-based beer brewers, Parrot Dog, who raised $1.2million in 12 hours, a record campaign for the Pledgeme platform.
