Duppa Bar is situated on the ground floor of Ohtel and serves up coffee, drinks and tapas with uniquely local flavour: 90% of all ingredients served at Duppa are sourced within 200kms of Wellington.

You don’t need to be a guest at Ohtel to enjoy Duppa’s tapas menu of Spanish classics with a Kiwi attitude: spinach and onion dip in bread bowl, pork and puha albondigas (meatballs) and hornazo – a Spanish meat pie done Kiwi style with slow cooked lamb.

And if you’re wondering about the name: before Oriental Bay was so named, it was called Duppa, after George Duppa, the sole resident of the bay. There are no photos on record of him, only a sketch which now adorns Duppa’s menu.
