At home working with many of the world’s best orchestras, he also relishes new challenges. In 2017 he made history as the first conductor of the BBC Proms held in Yorkshire in nearly 90 years.
Messiah in Wellington boasts leading soloists including New Zealanders Madeleine Pierard, Kristin Darragh and Martin Snell alongside Australian tenor James Egglestone.
As soloists for our inaugural Messiah performance in Palmerston North, the NZSO is proud to partner with the Dame Malvina Major Foundation to present four award-winning young New Zealand soloists recognised for their artistic excellence.
