An exhibition of artworks depicting women and created by women, from the BNZ Art Collection.
This exhibition is an attempt to draw out the many layers and issues of representation that surround women within the arts, both as creators and subjects.
By bringing together artworks depicting women and created by women artists, and displaying them in a house dedicated to one of New Zealand’s foremost female authors, we hope to create a space which reflects women’s perspectives and expands the conversation.
Featured artists include Fiona Pardington, Robin White, Ans Westra, Hariata Ropata-Tangahoe, Margaret Dawson, Evelyn Page, Megan Jenkinson, Jenny Dolezel, Patricia France and A Lois White.
Entry to the exhibition is included in the museum entry fee.
