A dreadful murder has occurred in the idyllic town of Mournmoor, so two hot-shot detectives from the big-smoke (Timaru) have arrived to investigate which of the town's colourful characters is the culprit.
Inspired by South Canterbury, and fictional murder mysteries such as Midsomer Murders, Hot Fuzz, and Twin Peaks, also there's some SNL and Bojack Horseman in there too; The Mournmoor Murders is a rip-riot, absurd, and nostalgic kiwi crime comedy devised and performed by Alice May Connolly and Maria Williams (with special guests Leisl and Jayne from the Mournmoor Arts Council's current season of Chicago).
From (some of) the people who brought you Stoge Chollonge 2006. And other ridiculous things.
The Mournmoor Murders is made with the generous support from CNZ and Town Square.
