Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision is New Zealand’s moving image and sound archive. The collections span our country’s audiovisual history, from 1895 until today – from the earliest days of cinema, audio recording and television, to contemporary film, advertisements, music videos, computer games, radio productions and last night’s TV broadcasts.
Opened in 2004, Ngā Taonga Sound and Vision's mediaplex offers learning and research facilities for teachers and students with on-site library, theatre and exhibition spaces.
A large menu of education screenings is available for visiting primary and secondary school groups. Refer to the education pages on the website for screening options.
