The Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) warmly welcomes students from around the world. Our friendly atmosphere, small class sizes and highly qualified, experienced tutors mean that we can take a personal interest in the progress of each of our students. We have fabulous new accommodation available for students from outside the area who wish to stay in the heart of Wellington. Student apartments are situated at 222 Willis Street. Students come to WelTec to study a wide variety of programmes including Hospitality, Tourism and Travel, Information Technology, Business, Creative Technologies, Health and Social Sciences, Construction, Engineering (including Automotive, Electrotechnology and Mechanical)and Engineering Technology. We also have a range of foundation programmes which set students up for advanced study.
WelTec offers degree programmes in Business (with majors in Accounting, HR, Event Management, Strategic Management, Sales and Marketing), Engineering, Information Technology, Creative Technologies, Counselling, and Alcohol and Drug Studies. We also offer a diverse range of graduate diplomas in areas such as business, IT, and addiction studies.
The staff in our International Centre will look after you in a friendly and welcoming manner and make sure that your time in New Zealand is both successful and enjoyable. We provide a range of student services including our learning support centre, library, cafeteria, student health, welfare and counselling service and we have an active students' association.
WelTec has campuses in Petone and the Wellington CBD including our new state of the heart School of Hospitality which also houses the internationally renowned Le Cordon Bleu NZ Institute.
