NZ Academy of Fine Arts

Run by artists for artists, the NZ Academy of Fine Arts runs a year-round exhibition programme featuring work by established and emerging artists from throughout New Zealand.

Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa

Te Papa’s Nga Toi exhibition space is home to some of New Zealand’s most significant artworks including Goldie’s colonial portraits of Maori elders, and Colin McCahon’s epic panels.

City Gallery

Located in the heart of Civic Square, City Gallery Wellington showcases contemporary art from New Zealand and around the world. 

New Zealand Portrait Gallery

The New Zealand Portrait Gallery is a significant visual archive of the many faces of New Zealand. The gallery is home to some 200 portraits of people who have shaped New Zealand's development or influenced the way we think about ourselves.

QT Museum Wellington

The luxurious QT Museum Wellington boasts a total of 66 original artworks from 55, mainly local artists. They have been thoughtfully selected by the hotel's owner, Chris Parkin, and are permanently on display to entertain and inspire. The Hotel is listed on Yahoo's list of Ten of the Best Hotels with Magnificent Artwork of the World.
