In its hey day, New Zealand's largest and grandest wooden building housed the country's entire public service. This beautiful 1876 building was formerly the seat of New Zealand's government and is now used as Victoria University of Wellington's Law Faculty.
It has a classic facade made of kauri, built to resemble an Italian stone palace and is the world's largest wooden office building.
Come and see the building that looks like an Italian stone palace, but is in fact made entirely from timber.
Closed to the public between 21 Dec and 7 Jan to coincide with Victoria University's shutdown dates.
