Percy Scenic Reserve is a beautifully unique park just on the edge of Lower Hutt City. With a mix of garden areas to stroll around, walking tracks for some easy tramping and lawns for picnics there's enough to occupy you for a whole day with the family.

You're in for a treat if you visit the weta cave with glow worms and cave weta galore, and you'll be able to see one of the Hutt Valley's magnificent waterfalls just a little further on.

Public transport is easy, with a bus stop (stop number 8051) just up the road from the entrance to the park.

  • Perfect for a full day out with the family
  • No dogs permitted in the park, and it's not suitable for mountain biking
  • Plant collections of historic and scientific significance
