Located just 24 kilometres north of Masterton on State Highway 2, Pukaha Mount Bruce is home to Manukura, New Zealand's rare white North Island Brown Kiwi - the only one in captivity.

Learn about how the Pukaha Mount Bruce forest is now home to endangered species living in the wild and how local communities made it happen. Wander through the interactive gallery and watch the Tuatara feed at 11.30am daily.

See long fin eels devour tasty morsels every day at 1.30pm and hear about their trip to Tonga to breed. Check out the antics of the cheeky kaka circus every day at 3pm as they swoop into feed stations for tasty snacks.

Experience the kiwi nocturnal house, home to Manukura and her Brown Kiwi friend Turua. Watch three short films in the Theatre and between September to April you may see a kiwi chick being fed in the nursery or if you are really lucky, witness a hatching!

Take a walk in the bush along the loop track and stop at Entice Too for delicious cafe food and great coffee.
