Te Ara Piko Pathway (the Meandering Path) starts at the northern side of the Pauatahanui Inlet from Motukaraka Point and ends at the Pauatahanui Village.

You can park at the point and wander down the pathway to the village, have a coffee at the cafe, then walk through the Pauatahanui Wildlife Management Reserve back to the pathway, and back to Motukaraka Point.

Allow two hours to enjoy this unique part of New Zealand. Take your camera and wear sensible footwear. Suitable for prams and children.

Te Ara Piko Pathway won the Heritage and Environment Category of the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards in August 2013, and was jointly developed between the Plimmerton Rotary and Porirua City Council and many volunteers from the area.
