Take a tour around the garden's beautiful orchards and meet friendly farm animals.
Kahikatea Gardens has been in the Montgomerie family for three generations. Although the farm is now down to 40 acres, it still keeps owners Neil and Greg Montgomerie-Crowe busy!
Neil and Greg will explain features of the garden as they take you on a tour of the garden and orchard which includes walnut, hazel, chestnut and pine nut trees.
There's also a range of fruit trees - like the 100 year old pear tree which still produces a good crop. Excess produce is made into jams and chutneys. These are sold at the gardens, along with walnuts and hazelnuts.
The old cowshed and stables are filled with "treasures" and old post and rail fences have been put to good use for roses to climb over.
Pet sheep, miniature horses, alpacas, and donkeys love to be visited and patted. They are a favourite with children and adults alike.
