A fully guided walk that the ordinary visitor does not have access to. Amble through an exclusive suburb, then down an early tribal path through native bush that will give you a panoramic view of our city and harbour. You then follow the Kaiwharawhara stream through native bush and native birds singing. Keep fit, see the real Wellington outside the city limits and meet it's people close up.
Distance: Six kilometres which takes three to three and a half hours including train rides. Reasonable fitness required. Easy terrain, walking steadily. Good walking shoes required and appropriate clothing for the day.
Weather permitting: November - April.
