Street Art. It’s a term that folk shy away from, it conjures up images of a balaclava-clad recalcitrant defacing public spaces with subversive scrawls or 'young hooligans' getting chased down the road after spraying some questionable body part on Grandad's freshly painted fence. This series should sway your opinion and highlight some of the best streetscapes to grace the walls of Wellington.
Here are some of my favourite pieces that have popped up around the city recently.
They are often commissioned works inhabiting somewhat of a reclaimed outdoor-gallery space, giving a new lease of life to an otherwise unused canvas in the form of a concrete wall.
