Hunting through Hunters and Collectors

By Amanda 7 Feb 2014

As a teenager in the 90’s, Hunter’s & Collectors was one of my favourite shopping destinations. On the weekend my friends and I would visit for their extensive selection of mens & women’s vintage wares. Today, the two-storey shop stocks a covetable selection of mid-century furniture and 20’s glamour.

50’s frocks and an impressive selection of men’s & women’s shoes line the walls and it’s still the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for a vintage bathing suit or ball gown with quality fabrics that wow and provoke the touchy-feely.

I’ve always thought there is something really exciting about not having the current fashion template handed to you. One-off vintage is about embracing originality and cultivating your fashion personality.

Hunters & Collectors stocks an enticing selection of jewellery and upstairs amongst vintage radios and mid-century dining suites you’ll find embellished glassware and a pretty tea set or ten.

Upon visiting, prepare yourself for a given - something will always take your fancy and sing out to be taken home.
