Shopping up a storm at the new Glassons and Hallensteins store

By Greta 17 Oct 2013 • 2 Comments

If you have been reading my recent blog posts, you may think that all I do with my free time is get coffees, drink wine and eat amazing food. But there is so much more to me than that… I also like to shop.

And for a girl that loves to shop, nothing has me more excited than the new Glassons and Hallensteins flagship store that has just opened on Lambton Quay.

For those of you that didn’t already know, Glassons and Hallensteins are actually brother and sister brands and they have finally come together in the most wonderful family home.

The store is massive and everything is on trend, from the clothes themselves to the very cool artwork that graces the walls. Downstairs, in Glassons, you will find everything you know and love from the iconic brand, including an entire wall donated to ‘everyday basics’.

You will also find the new brand “edt.” which is sort of like a little sub-brand of Glassons. It’s a more boutique style range, where everything is limited edition.

My favourite item from the edt. range were these amazing silky blue shorts with a night sky pattern. Unfortunately as much as my soul loved them, my legs didn’t and I reluctantly left them for another lucky girl.

I did however, manage to find a bunch of other things, and ‘accidentally’ paid for it out of the bills-only account. It’s going to be very awkward when the power bill arrives.

Seeing as I was already going to be in trouble, I figured I may as well spend the internet money as well, so I headed upstairs to find something for my chap.

The guys upstairs at Hallensteins were super helpful and friendly and helped me find heaps of cool things.

My reasoning is that he won’t be so mad that we have no power and internet when he has new chinos…. No? Oops.

The store is so big and beautiful it’s definitely worth checking out even if it’s not pay week.

    Hi Seamonkey, edt. means literally 'edit', like a daily fashion edit, it is a selection of the best pieces. :)

    edt = eau de toilette?
    What does it stand for? (just curious)
