Established in 2014, Fix & Fogg takes its name from the classic 1873 novel ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ and the characters Phileas Fogg and Detective Fix.

Much like the characters in the renowned novel, Fix & Fogg have travelled far. Going from selling 15 jars a week at a farmers market in Hataitai, they now export their peanut butter to Australia, the USA, Singapore, the Philippines and beyond.

But for those visiting Wellington, Fix & Fogg is a literal window into the world's best peanut butter.

Located at the very heart of Wellington, in New Zealand’s tastiest little laneway, you’ll find a peanut butter flag pointing you in the direction of a surprisingly lengthy menu of toast or porridge options, with sourdough coming from neighbouring bakers, Leeds Street Bakery.

Originally the laundry room of the iconic Hannah Shoe Factory, this little window into this little window eatery provides peanut buttery goodness to passers-by, along with other seasonal offerings.

If you’re in need of a fresh jar or two, they’re happy to sell you any of their nine delicious options, as well as a growing series of merchandise to show off your peanut butter fanaticism. We get it, we’re nuts for Fix & Fogg too. Pick up a pail of the stuff if you feel so inclined.

Take a moment to learn a little more about the city while you munch on one of Wellington's favourite healthy snacks, and you’ll be spreading the news like peanut butter.
