Dark Matter: Bass Night
With two music producers who are pushing the boundaries of bass, Dark Matter’s new show is one for the books
Wellingtonians are known for their love of electronic music, and Dark Matter, a new event brand, is here to bring the best producers and musicians to our capital.
This May at Wellington’s TSB Arena the first Dark Matter event will take place, featuring two of the biggest names in international bass music. On stage you’ll see Alison Wonderland, Sydney-born and Los Angeles-based muso, and QUIX, who hails from New Zealand.
As a singer, producer, songwriter and DJ, Alison Wonderland creates what’s been described as future-facing pop, explosive beat-craft and eternal dance rhythms. Since she first stepped onto the scene in 2009, Wonderland has become known for her clever, creative and downright entertaining live shows while her musical productions have hit the George FM charts several times.
Special Guest QUIX has received international acclaim for his unique sound design and for shaking things up in the dance music genre. During his career, he performed at Coachella and supported Steve Aoki’s North American Kolony tour. More recently he was the headline performance at New Zealand’s Rhythm & Vines.
Wonderland and QUIX have recently collaborated on a new project called ‘Time’, which pushes the boundaries of bass music.
Tickets for Dark Matter’s inaugural show are now on sale.
