This Easter promises to be action-packed with glorious balloons filling Wairarapa's skies, entertainment, street food and more
The much-loved Wairarapa Balloon Festival returns to the skies for five magical days this Easter. Each morning from 6-10 April, hot air balloons will lift off from a different town around the Wairarapa region.
Experience balloonist competitions, vibrant displays, and an amazing array of bright majestic balloons in the skies overhead. The ascensions will be over Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, and Martinborough, wrapping up with a mystery location on Easter Monday.
The festival highlight will undoubtedly be a reinvigorated Night Glow on Saturday 8 April. The Clareville Showgrounds will host five hours of action-packed entertainment for the whole family. There will be drone racing, live music, a bouncy castle, and a night time flight of glowing balloons, plus a delicious range of food and beverages from Wairarapa's largest gathering of street food vendors.
