Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Café
2362 Akatarawa Road, Akatarawa Valley, Upper Hutt
Located in the scenic Akatarawa Valley in Upper Hutt, Staglands Wildlife Reserve is home to an amazing array of native birds and fish, as well as heaps of cute and cuddly farm animals. The reserve features a variety of streams, ponds, hills and gullies, which have been created and developed over the past 40 years that visitors are welcome to explore. Visitors of all-ages can feed and freely interact with wildlife including rabbits, guinea pigs, deer, goats and horses in a safe and fun environment.
Ngā Manu Nature Reserve Walk
74 Ngā Manu Reserve Road, Waikanae, Wellington
Strop in and take a walk around the 14 hectare Ngā Manu Reserve which comprises a mosaic of habitats including the largest remnant of lowland swamp forest remaining on the Kāpiti Coast, ponds, wetlands, open lawn areas, walk-through aviaries, reptile enclosures, and a nocturnal house for kiwi. Ngā Manu volunteers offer guided forest walks which are a great introduction to the unique values of our environment.

The courses at Adrenalin Forest are designed to challenge you emotionally and physically. Bring your friends and family and challenge your skills as a team in an unfamiliar environment. Use the pathways to figure out each other's strengths, weaknesses and see how well you all adapt to complete the challenges. Adrenalin Forest is a great group activity for all ages and abilities. Test everyone's limits and make your way through the bridge, swing and treetop courses.
