Major Events
WellingtonNZ's Major Events team invest and partner with major events to enable them to succeed and to drive outcomes for the Wellington region.
Major events we partner with include the biennial New Zealand Festival of the Arts, the internationally renowned World of WearableArt Awards Show, Beervana and Jim Beam Homegrown.
The team works across event attraction and feasibility, sponsorship marketing and promotion, logistical and venue support, feasibility studies and major event bids, all-of-city response, activations, planning, management, risk management and coordination.

Venues Wellington: Performance events
Wellington is known as the cultural capital of New Zealand, and the Performance Events team are responsible for sourcing, contracting, ticketing and delivering live performances and exhibitions within Wellington's civic venues.
Their focus is on developing a strong calendar of events, and working with hirers to drive local and out-of-town audience development.
