How did you find your study experience in Wellington?

My three years studying in Wellington has been priceless. I've made so many memories with my friends whom I met in my student hall, clubs, tutorial classes and around the city. The lecturers from my courses were very supportive and insightful. Moreover, working part-time alongside with my study has helped me become more aware of the society and re-define my passion and career path in the future.

What were your first impressions of Wellington as a city/region and how have they changed?

At first, I found Wellington to be really small, with only half a million residents compared to the staggering number of 10 million people in my hometown. However, Wellington is packed with diverse cultural experiences, from the beautiful urban landscape to the multi-ethnic culinary scene. Till this day, the city hasn’t changed much; yet, I can see how Wellingtonians continue to welcome more upcoming local businesses and events/festivals. The friendly local spirit is something that really helps elevate your living experience in the capital!

What is your best advice for someone looking to stay and work in Wellington after study?

Say hi and network, network, network! You don't know what opportunities will come in your way here in Wellington! And don't forget to enjoy your life - grab a drink with friends or take a walk if you need.

What is your favourite thing to do in Wellington?

Definitely grab myself a good book and sit by Leed Street Bakery or Lamason for a good cup of coffee. On a good sunny day, I always grab my friends to the harbour for some good ice cream as well!
