Stay in a slice of history

Formerly the Ford vehicle assembly plant and originally constructed in 1922, the building is one of Wellington’s most prominent buildings on Courtenay Place.

The site has since undergone a multi-million-dollar transformation into a sleek, 226-key, nine-storey hotel, designed for the modern traveller.

The fit-out gives a nod to the history of the building with the original framework retained and complimented by marble and aged walnut accents.

Great amenities

Each room comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs with Sky channel access, modern bathroom amenities, tea and coffee making facilities and international power converters available at reception. You can opt for a room with a private balcony and fully-equipped kitchen.

Guests have access to the fully-equipped fitness and wellness centre, car park and transfer services and babysitting services. With corporate guests in mind, the hotel offers executive meeting rooms and function spaces, as well as a business hub located in the foyer with high-speed internet.

Delicious dining

On-site restaurant Oak & Vine restaurant offers sophisticated and contemporary Kiwi-inspired cuisine with a Mediterranean influence overseen by executive chef Kit Foe.

Start your day with the buffet breakfast bar and end it with the à la carte dinner menu. The service is five-star and there’s great views over Courtenay Place for people watching.

We feasted on duck fat potatoes (the best I've ever had), tarakihi oka with taro (as good as ones I've enjoyed in Samoa), slow cooked lamb pappardelle, buttery string beans, fried eggplant, and spaghetti aglio e olio-style with clams.
